About this tool

Silly Story Idea Generator

This generator gives children a ready-made story starter when the blank page is winning. Every prompt combines a character, a problem, a setting and a final twist.

How to use it

Choose Random or a theme such as Animals, Fantasy, Space, School or Bedtime.
Press Generate Story Idea to create a new prompt.
Use the prompt for a short story, bedtime tale, comic strip or family storytelling game.
Copy the result if you want to save it somewhere else.

Simple story formula

Start with the character, make the problem worse, then let the final twist change everything. Perfect grammar can wait; the important bit is getting the story moving.
